Details announced for the 2018 Sports Capital Programme

A number of changes have been made to the 2018 Sports Capital Programme so please read the guide below fully and carefully before applying online. All applications, including supporting documentation, must be submitted online. Applications by post or email will not be accepted and will be returned.

If you have not previously registered, your Golf Club must register at SportsCapitalProgramme.ie (guide to registering can be downloaded below) and must have a Tax Registration Number from the Revenue Commissioners.

The deadline for registration is 5pm on Friday 5th October. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 19th October.

Since its introduction in 1998 the the Sports Capital Funding scheme has awarded almost €1bn in grants to over 10,000 projects.

The 2017 Sports Capital Programme seen over €2m in funding for allocated to 71 golf clubs across Ireland for a range of projects including practice facilities, junior golf academies, drainage work and general course improvements.

Golf Clubs in Leinster were awarded €1.3m, clubs in Connacht received over €400,000, Ulster over €150,000 and Munster claiming the rest.
