For the first time in history, Ireland will be represented by two players on the LPGA Tour in 2020.

While Leona Maguire looked confident to obtain her card all year as she secured a pair of victories on the LPGA Symetra Tour, nothing was confirmed until the completion of the Tour Championship yesterday.

Maguire earned $92,517 over 16 events to finish 7th on the Symetra Tour official money list. Since turning Professional in June 2018, Maguire has made 23 cuts from 28 starts on the Symetra Tour and has won on two occassions.

Meanwhile, at the Volunteers of America Texas Classic on the LPGA, Stephanie Meadow began the week at 112th on the money list, needing a strong finish to break into the top 100 to regain her status.

Meadow opened with a round of 63 to catapult her to the top of the leader board. She followed with rounds of 71 and 73 to be tied for 10th heading into the final round.

After opening with two birdies on Sunday, a fifth hole bogey was cancelled by birdie on 9. She followed with another birdie on the par 5 13th and a subsequent bogey on 15. However, showcasing her grit and determination she birdied 17 when needing it most and then made an 18-foot birdie putt on the final hole to keep her card by moving into the top 100 and avoid returning to the LPGA Q-Series at the end of the year.

Both Stephanie and Leona are supported by Team Ireland Golf and Sport Ireland.
