Ireland beat Norway, boys lose to France at Europeans

​​Ireland finished seventh at the European Amateur Team Championship while the Irish boys were sixth on their return to the European top flight

Ireland's boys had to settle for sixth after losing to France on the final day at the European team championship in La Manga. The Irish senior side recorded a 3-2 win against Norway to take seventh place at the Europen Amateur Team Championship in Austria.

It was a disappointing finish for the Irish boys as they went down 4.5-0.5 against the French. Rosslare's John Brady was the only Irish player to score, securing a half from his match against Paul Margolis. In the final, Denmark beat hosts Spain to take the title. 

Wins for Stuart Grehan, Conor O'Rourke and John Ross Galbraith in the singles against Norway ensured Ireland finished on a high at the European Amateur Team Championship in Austria. Spain won the championship, beating England in the final.
