In the AIG Junior Cup Portumna captured their second All Ireland title in four days with the winning point coming from Damien Burke on the 16th green after Gerard Lynch and Sam Murphy had won the top two matches for the Galway side against the Ulster champions Fortwilliam.

Having landed the Irish Mixed Foursomes title at Milltown on Wednesday, Portumna added a second green pennant to their season with Damien Burke also capturing his second winners medal of the week.

Portmarnock completed their own piece of history, notching up their 20th win in the Senior Cup, and it fell to Geoff Lenehan to hole the winning putt - having also done so seven years ago in the same situation for the club's 19th win.
