​The Golfing Union of Ireland, in partnership with Tourism Northern Ireland, has announced a dedicated section on the Golfnet website which focuses attention on the area ahead of The 148th Open, Royal Portrush this summer.

With record numbers of golfers expected to travel to Royal Portrush across the week of The Open, Tourism Northern Ireland are keen to highlight the extensive accommodation options available at a range of prices as well as the impressive range of tourist attractions around the Antrim coastline.

Leanne Rice, Golf Marketing Manager of Tourism NI said: “Partnering with the GUI is a valuable way for Tourism NI to communicate that Northern Ireland is truly Made for Golf.  With an abundance of hidden gems, stunning links courses including two of the top 10 golf courses in the world and award winning resorts there is something for every golf enthusiast.  The 148th Open will certainly be one of the highlights of 2019, coupled with our world class hospitality and visitor attractions, we look forward to welcoming golfers to visit our land Made for Golf.
