The Spanish Amateur Championship is underway at Los Colinas and nine players from Ireland are vying for a place in the match play stages.

Leading the list of entries from Ireland is Warrenpoint's Colm Campbell, who returns to the course following a long injury layoff. Also competing in Spain are: Reece Black (Hilton Templepatrick), Paul Coughlan (Castleknock), Alan Fahy (Dun Laoghaire), TJ Ford (Co Sligo), Eanna Griffin (Waterford), Robert Moran (Castle), Eugene Smith (Laytown & Bettystown) and Colin Woodroofe (Dun Laoghaire).

The tournament runs from 27 February until 3 March.
