Percy was a former Sugar Factory employee in Mallow and long-standing proud member of Mallow Golf Club since 1972. He had a particular interest in Junior Golf, assisting in promoting Junior golf during his long service to the Branch and higher offices. He served as Chairman of the Munster Branch in from 1993 to 1996 inclusive and reached the highest position as President of the Union in 1998, a position he held with pride in joy.

Following this he continued to volunteer for many more years for the Branch.

As John O’Reilly a fellow Honorary Vice-President of the Union says “He was loved by all, a gentleman in the perfect sense within and outside of golf.“

He is survived by his wife Maureen, daughter Ann (O'Flynn), sons Kieran, Brian, Colm and Aidan. Sadly missed by his loving wife, family, son-in-law Ger, daughters-in-law Anna, Julie, Hajli and Claire, grandchildren, niece Mary, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace. Ar Dheis de go raibh a anam
