Public Health Restrictions for entrants in GUI Championships

In light of the public health restrictions introduced for people residing in the counties of Kildare, Laois and Offaly on Friday 7th August 2020, please note the following:

  • 10 August 2020

Any player, parent or volunteer official residing in these three counties are obliged to withdraw their participation from all GUI Championships (and inter-club events) which take place from 8th August to 22nd August inclusive.

Players who currently have a place in a championship but fall into this category must confirm this immediately by email to the relevant GUI office – see https://www.golfnet.ie/contact-us

Entry Fees will be fully refunded in these circumstances.

Reserves will be called up to the field in the usual manner when withdrawals are received.

In order to comply with the Government Restrictions, we are obliged to ask all entrants upon entry to our events to confirm the place from which their journey originated.

Anyone found to be travelling from Kildare, Laois or Offaly will asked to leave the site unless they have travelled from these locations for work purposes or other essential reasons as outlined in the Government Advice above.

These measures are being put in place by the Irish Government to protect the vulnerable in counties Kildare, Laois and Offaly, as well as to stop the spread of COVID-19. The measures are in place from midnight Friday 8 August until midnight Saturday 22 August and will be reviewed by the Irish Government in due course.
