Online Entries are open for all Golfing Union of Ireland
Championships for the 2020 season.
To enter, simply go to www.golfnet.ie and select the Online Entry
option on the top, green, menu bar, or to go directly to GUI Championships,
You no longer need to log in to Golfnet or use your Golfnet account to enter
Please note the following
key changes to the online entry process for 2020:
When you select online entry, you will be taken to a page which will ask you to
select the union you belong to. Competitors with home clubs on the island of
Ireland must select “Irish Ladies Golf Union & Golfing Union of Ireland” to
proceed. Overseas competitors must either select their Union if it is available
from the list, or alternatively select “Other Union/Manual Entry”.
Any overseas competitor
who selects “Other Union/Manual Entry” must email their handicap certificate to
before the closing date for entries to ensure their entry is complete.
When you select online entry of a particular event, you will be asked to enter
your “CDH Lifetime ID”. Competitors with home clubs on the island of Ireland
should note that you enter your eight-digit Golfnet number here.
When you complete the
entry process, you will be taken to the entry system’s payment provider,
PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, you may use this to complete online entry
or – in most circumstances – you will be able to pay with a credit or debit
card without creating an account. For players who are considering entering a
number of championships, it may be worth considering creating a PayPal account
to speed up the payment process – if you don’t already have one. Further
information on www.paypal.com.
On certain devices, certain browsers and for certain IP addresses where PayPal
has been used for multiple transactions in the past, PayPal may require you to
create an account. PayPal have assured us that they have set up their system in
a way that minimises the likelihood of this, but where this happens and you do
not wish to create an account, you should try using another device (a PC or
Laptop preferably) to make the transaction.
