McCormack Leads the Way at Charlesland

​​Eddie McCormack in top position after 36 Holes

Andrew Adair (Carnalea) and Eddie McCormack (Galway Bay) were the only golfers to break par on a sunny but windy day in Charlesland Golf Club. Andrew shot a 2 under par first round of 70 followed by Eddie McCormack on 1 under par 71. McCormack followed his morning score of 71 with a superb 69 in the afternoon with birdies on holes 5, 7, 8 and 9 to leave him 4 under through 9 holes.

Eddie McCormack, the current Connacht Mid Amateur Champion is leading the field after 36 holes on a total of 140, next to him is the holder from 2016, Jim Carvill of Banbridge on a score of 148.

Play commences at 8.00am tomorrow with the leaders teeing off at 9.30am.
