It’s down to the final eight in Lahinch as the quarter-final line up was completed this morning.  Eanna Griffin was the first man home this morning after wrapping up his match against Jason Rackard on the 12th.  His 7&6 win sets him up for a second round match with Sean Flanagan.  Tiarnan McLarnon came through his match against Cathal Butler, and he’ll face Sean Desmond in the last eight.

In the top half of the draw John Murphy continued his dominant form with a 5&4 win over Alan Hill.  The Kinsale golfer hasn’t gone beyond the 14th in any of his three matches. He’ll face Keith Egan in the second quarter final.  Hugh Foley also continued his good form, the leading qualifier from Thursday beat Peter O’Keeffe and he faces Jake Whelan in the quarter final.
