With a field of 60 playing 2 rounds on Saturday 6 October, fading daylight prevented the completion of the second round. Day 2 started therefore with the remaining group in round 2, completing their round. All 4 players qualified to play in the next round but one chose to withdraw, much to the consternation of his playing partners.

Day 2 was totally different to day 1, with high winds and heavy rain showers affecting scoring throughout the day.

Thomas O'Connor was 4 strokes behind going into the final 18 holes but a creditable score, in the conditions, of 77 was enough to win by 2 strokes. Scores of 69 and 72 led the way in rounds 1 & 2 but Thomas's score of 77 was the best in round 3, reflecting the change in conditions.

The 2017 Champion Frank Casey Jnr was runner up
