Jim Carvill shot a last round 71 (1 under par) to be in the clubhouse at 2 under for the tournament with scores of 71 & 71.
Karl Bornemann (Douglas) was 2 ahead playing the 18th but then disaster struck - he finished up in the trees and had to chip out, eventually taking a 7 to lose the Championship on a countback, after returning scores of 69 & 73

The 60-64 age category was won by John Mitchell (Tramore)                                                           The Veterans Trophy and Prize was won by Garth McGimpsey (Royal Portrush)

The round of the Championship went to Philip Purdy (Shandon Park) who eventually finished third with an excellent 66 (6 under par) in round 2

The players, to a man, complimented the club on the excellent condition of the course which was a credit to the Head Greenkeeper over the 2 days of the tournament.
