World Number One Amateur Leona Maguire (Slieve Russell), has come a long way since first entering the ILGU Coaching system in 2006. Eleven year's later she is Ladies British Open Amateur Champion, has represented GB&I at three Curtis Cups and plans to turn professional once completing her degree at Duke University in Spring 2018.

"I remember attending Regional Coaching sessions with Phil Collins at Galgorm Castle and then Debbie Hanna at Blackwood over 10 years ago now, that was our first experience of player development and the girls we were on those panels with were the basis of our Ulster teams for the following years! Those sessions were mine and Lisa's first stepping stone outside of club golf."

The 2018 Regional Programme is two-fold and players may apply to take part in Regional Coaching, Horizon Experience Days or both.

Each programme costs €45 on its own, however if players are eligible and choose to take part in both the cost will be €75. Payment will be made once a player’s space is confirmed on the programme.
