The Spanish International Ladies’ Amateur Championship will take place at Montecastillo Golf Resort from 28th February to 4th March.

The Irish contingent of Georgia Carr (Milltown), Ciara Casey (Hermitage), Valerie Clancy (Killarney), Paula Grant (Lisburn), Lauren Walsh (Castlewarden) and Annabel Wilson (Lurgan) will be competing in the Championship. The event, in which competitors will play 36 holes of stroke play qualifying followed by three days of knockout Matchplay, will be closely monitored by GB&I Curtis Cup selectors as players are given the opportunity to show their match-play hand.

Grant, Wilson and Casey will lead Ireland’s hopes in the Nations Cup event, which will be played simultaneously with the first 36 holes of the Championship. The Cup will be awarded to the two lowest scores of each day.
