The launch of both the R&A Women in Golf Charter and the 20x20 Campaign for which both Stephanie Meadow and Leona Maguire are championing has highlighted issues in relation to female sports participation, gender balanace and role models.

The ILGU and CGI have created a Women in Golf survey which all ILGU members are kindly requested fill out.

Survey link below:

The survey covers questions relating to your experience of being involved in golf. It is based around your experience with volunteering and the reason(s) as to why you may/may not have volunteered. We are also asking you to share your beliefs for women in your club in relation to gender balance and equality of access to services in your club, and in particular your views on women in leadership positions in your club. The findings of the survey will inform the ILGU and the CGI on actions that are required to support women and clubs.

There are prizes on offer for five lucky respondents. The five winners will be pulled out at random and will receive a 2 hour golf clinic with a PGA professional at the GUI National Golf Academy at Carton House. Prize winners to be announced by Friday 15th February. Clinic details can be found on www.bettergolf.ie.

The survey will take no more than 8 minutes to complete and your input would be very much appreciated. All responses are anonymous and we do not ask you to name your Golf Club. The survey is open for completion until Monday 11th February at 12 noon
