The second leg of the ILGU Scratch Cup Circuit took place at the Royal Portrush Valley Course over the weekend where Kirkistown Castle’s Beth Coulter conquered the field by six shots.

Coulter, a member of the ILGU Horizon Performance Panel, fired scores of 72 and 71 for a three under par total (143) and a comfortable cushion ahead of Lucy Simpson (Massereene) who finished in 2nd on 149 and Jessica Ross (Clandeboye) who finished one shot further back again.

With the Mabel Harrison Trophy now in the hands of Coulter and fellow Horizon Panellist Aine Donegan has already winning the Carlow Scratch Cup the Circuit has so far positively highlighted the work of the ILGU High Performance Team over the winter months.

The circuit travels to Royal County Down for their Scratch Salver on March 31st where, last year, Deirdre Smith (Co. Louth) began her run of good form in which ultimately saw her take the top spot on the ILGU Scratch Cup Circuit at year end.
