Since its inception in 1984, the St Rule Trophy has attracted the top amateur golfers, many of whom have gone on to enjoy success on the worldwide, notably Annika Sorenstam, 2019 Solheim Cup Captain Catriona Matthew and more recently, Melissa Reid.

Additional focus will be on the event this year as the GB&I Team to compete at the Vagliano and Junior Vagliano Trophies will be announced early next week following the event. 

Jessica Ross (Clandeboye) will take confidence from her win at the Ulster Stroke Play Championship during the week to the Home of Golf, while Chloe Ryan, who is currently living in the UK, has claimed the Critchley Salver at Sunningdale and the Gold Rose at Roehampton in recent weeks. 

The St Rule Trophy attracts players from all over the world who relish the opportunity to play on the New and Old Courses at St Andrews Links from June 1 - 2.
