Mehaffey named on GB&I side for Astor Trophy

​The Astor Trophy is held once every four years between teams from Australia, Canada, Great Britain & Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa.

Four players have been selected to play for Great Britain and Ireland in the Astor Trophy, which is taking place at Royal Colwood in Canada from 28 August-1 September.

Olivia Mehaffey and Lily May Humphreys were automatic picks based on their position in the World Amateur Golf Ranking™ and they will be joined by Women’s Amateur champion Emily Toy and Alice Hewson, who won the European Ladies Amateur Championship last weekend.

Olivia Mehaffey, 21, Royal County Down Ladies
Lily May Humphreys, 17, Stoke-by-Nayland
Emily Toy, 21, Carlyon Bay Golf Club
 
The Astor Trophy is held once every four years between teams from Australia, Canada, Great Britain & Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa. Each country is represented by 4 players and each country contests foursomes and singles match play in a round robin format.
