Limerick, Mullingar and New Forest progress to AIG semi finals
The AIG Ladies Cups and Shields National Finals take place at Knightsbrook Hotel and Golf Resort from September 25 – 28. Thirty teams from across the country this week hope to experience the success and prestige associated with winning a National Pennant.

Limerick progressed in the AIG Senior Foursomes beating Roscommon in the first quarter final of the day. Beaten finalists in 2017 and 2018, Roscommon missed two key players due to work commitments and Limerick took full advantage, winning the tie by two matches.

The AIG Intermediate Cup quarter final couldn’t have been closer as Mullingar beat Corrstown, with three matches finishing on the final two holes. Mullingar meet Monkstown in the semi-final before their AIG Junior Foursomes team also compete on Friday.

New Forest Golf Club became affiliated to the ILGU just six years ago, and reached their first National Final this year. Facing Royal Belfast in the AIG Minor Cup today the excitement was palpable. Deirdre O’Connor, Rita O’Shea and Shirley Donegan secured a semi-final place for New Forest against Castlebar tomorrow.
