Established as a networking event for current and past Lady Captains, the Connacht Play and Stay event took place over the weekend of the 4th and 5th of September.

Undertaken by the ILGU Connacht District as a pilot, the weekend proved to be a huge success for all involved with a total of 113 taking part from all five Districts. The aim was to provide an outing for the more social golfer among us and reward past and present Captains for all the work they have done in their clubs and for their continued support to the ILGU. It was said on the day; "It is certainly a celebration of women's golf in Ireland."

Taking place at the magnificent Glasson Golf and Country Hotel, the event included golf, dinner, a nights stay and an opportunity to share stories and ideas with Lady Captain's from golf clubs across the country.
