At the summit of the field of 101 senior lady golfers, Bernie, handicap 18, was the model of consistency carding 6 pars and 12 bogeys in her inspirational round of 42 points. Liz Moloney from Newcastle West, also off 18, birdied the 4th and 15th on her way to matching Bernie's 42 points but was unluckily beaten on countback of the final 3 holes. With a rock solid 30 gross points off 4 handicap, Pat Doran (Donabate) notched birdies at 12 and 15 to celebrate her recent call-up to the Irish Team to play in the European Seniors Team Championships in Paris in early September.

A great day was had by all and very many thanks to the members of Woodenbridge for their wonderful hospitality.
